Coddington Design’s 2016 Highlights December 22, 2016
What a year! While it’s been a wild ride and many are ready to say goodbye to 2016, our team had some great design moments this year that we wanted to remember as we close out another year. From photographing my home in the Oakland Hills to being a part of the 2016 Traditional Home Napa Valley Showhouse, we hit some major milestones this year. We can’t wait to see what next year brings but before we turn the page let’s take a look at some of our highlights from 2016.
San Francisco Dream Home Addition
Here is a peek at the built-in bar for one of our client’s in San Francisco. The bar is situated along a wall of floor-to-ceiling cabinets in the open plan living room area of the house. The bold gold tile pops against the white and the glass shelves allow the tiles to shine. The house has a very glam but family friendly design. This client has worked with Coddington Design for many years and it was great to work together on their dream home.
Nantucket Main House Completion
Managing a ground-up project across the country is no easy feat, but we couldn’t be happier with the way the main residential house for our Nantucket project turned out! We are continuing with the guest house design after the New Year but the main house install in November was a great success. We love how the reclaimed wood mantle and the Urchin Pendant light fixture blend seamlessly into the living room.
Melanie’s Home Photographs
My home was finally photographed in the early spring of this year. Definitely considered a labor of love, this house has undergone a serious facelift since my wife and I purchased it. Over the past three years, we have designed our way through each room. While some plans for the outdoor area are still in the works (stay tuned!), it was great to finally show off my personal ‘design lab’
Coddington Design Featured on Curbed
The living room of our Castro Victorian project was featured in a recent Curbed article focusing on the best pink paints for your home. For our project, we used the original pink tile in the fireplace surround as color inspiration for the space. Repeated in the walls, drapes, and upholstery, this pink is both bold and soft all at once.
We want to wrap up this year by saying thank you and stay tuned for all of the exciting designs we have in store for next year. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones and we’ll see you in the New Year!
