Designing with Art October 20, 2016
Art is personal and it has a huge impact on the design of a space. Working with clients to discover artwork that resonates with them and their home is one of our favorite parts of the design process. Luckily, San Francisco makes it easy to dive into the world of galleries, museums, and art fairs. We’ve collaborated with some of the best galleries to help our clients purchase their first pieces of art and others have added to their own curated collections. Here are a few of the galleries we have worked with and the annual art fairs that are not to be missed.
Dolby Chadwick Gallery
Dolby Chadwick has been our partner for sourcing large scale contemporary pieces for our clients. Located in San Francisco’s Union Square, Dolby Chadwick’s portfolio is diverse including international and emerging artists with works in oil painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and photography. After almost 20 years in the art world, Dolby Chadwick has a refined expertise for helping the novice and seasoned collectors build their connection to art.
Simon Breitbard Fine Arts
Simon Breitbard Fine Arts is a gallery with locations in San Francisco’s Financial District and across the bay in Mill Valley. With a speciality in contemporary art across a range of mediums, the gallery showcases the work of over 100 new and established artists. We love taking clients to their new Jackson Square gallery! Simon Breitbard Fine Arts also has an annual trunk show that is not to be missed so mark your calendars for Nov 16-17th at 843 Montgomery St, San Francisco.
Fog Art + Design Art Fair
Fog Art + Design is an art fair that centers around design, fine art, photography, and high-end craft. The next event takes place January 12-15, 2017 at the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion. The fair will bring together 45 leading international galleries as well as installation pieces. The preview gala on January 11th supports SFMOMA’s exhibitions and education programs.
Art Market San Francisco
Art Market San Francisco is an annual modern and contemporary art fair and features works from local and international galleries. One of the highlights of Art Market SF is the curated program of installations, large scale environments, and special projects. This fair is packed with artwork from across the globe so this the perfect chance to search for a new piece or explore genres not yet in your own collection. Next year’s Art Market San Francisco will be April 26-30, 2017 at the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion
