Fall into Fabrics: Sept 13- 23 September 13, 2016
For some, autumn may mean cozy nights indoors or weekends at the pumpkin patch but for us it’s all about textiles. It’s time for the annual Fall Into Fabrics event at the San Francisco Design Center! As the showrooms begin to transition into richer textures and patterns for the upcoming seasons, we get our first look at the newest fabrics, furniture, and product lines. It’s one of our favorite events of the year and it starts this week, September 13-23.
Not only do we get to take a first look at the new designs but the 10 day event is filled with inspiring keynote speakers. We’ve already bookmarked a few events we don’t want to miss:
- The new Prima Alpaca Boucle Collection will be unveiled at Shears & Window (Galleria #452) on Wednesday, September 14th from 10am-5pm. Sandra Jordan and Luxe Magazine will be hosting as we take a peek at the soft and modern blend of these textural fabrics.
- San Francisco Cottages and Garden Editor-in-Chief Alisa Carroll will be in conversation with Lauren and Josh Podoll, co-founders of San Francisco fashion label The Podolls. The duo-designers will talk about their love of traditional fabrics as well as the textiles they developed in Japan and India. Wednesday, September 14th, 12-2pm, at Madeline Weinrib (Galleria #101).
We will also be popping into a few events at some of our favorite showrooms including Sloan Miyasato, Kneedler Fauchere, and Cowtan & Tout. Be sure to check out all the details and don’t miss this spectacular kickoff of the fall season!
