When it comes to decorating, less is more and quality reigns above quantity. Simple with fresh greenery and touches of antique brass and black. We love this look- it can work on any size mantle and does not require hours of setting up. Buying your garland from your local nursery? Ask for cedar, it sheds way less. Another note, white birch logs are always a sweet alternative to an empty firebox & match any style. One carefully swooped swag. Beautiful.

Try swapping your usual mantle art or mirror for something a teensy more festive. Don’t live in the snow? Add some minimalist prints of a wintery scene or a crisp font. Keep frames simple and don’t forget the odds rule. Items look better when displayed in odd numbers. Silver dollar eucalyptus is a great replacement for traditional pine. It has a beautiful silvery green color that doesn’t disappoint and it typically lasts longer than pine.

Super subtle beads take the place of heavy glittery ribbons. Add a few small tibetan bells instead of the cliche jingle bells for an updated zen inspired natural look.
