The main inspiration for this Los Angeles house was the clients’ love of designer, Lily Pulitzer’s vivid colors and bold patterns. Coddington Design worked on the family’s previous house where they experimented with color, but never achieved the level of brilliant shades that they did in the new residence. Throughout the project Lee Jofa’s Lilly Pulitzer Collection dresses windows and covers furnishings.

The playful interiors suit a family of four including boy and girl fraternal twins, age 10. Coddington Design brought a colorful whimsy to the home without overwhelming the space. Lilly Pulitzer-esque lighting and accessories were sourced from Stray Dog Designs, Dana Gibson, and Society Social.

Coddington Design balanced color and pattern to make the rooms appear cohesive without feeling generic. Throughout the home the designers created interiors with a delightful whimsey to them which the family will enjoy for years to come.
