Los Angeles Interior Designers Flock to Legends of La Cienega May 18, 2017
One of our favorite design events of the year just wrapped in Los Angeles. Legends of La Cienega is an annual event that brings together some of the most creative tastemakers from the design world. This year’s event, known as LEGENDS, lit up La Cienega Boulevard with seminars, book signings, showrooms, and parties with the best in interior design, fashion, art, and architecture.
From the opening gala to the panel discussions, it was three days of sharing, learning, and meeting industry professionals who love design as much as we do. Our team’s Los Angeles based designer, Taylor, was at LEGENDS this year and attending events at the Marc Phillips showroom as well as the keynote speaking event moderated by Alisa Carroll entitled “The Freedom of Expression: Self vs. Selfless Expression in Design”.
This year’s third Legends of La Cienega event celebrated its theme of “Your True Colors” by partnering with designers to create window displays inspired by artists. Encouraged to express diversity and originality, the window scenes ranged from Jasper John to Frida Kahlo influences. Full of life, artistry, and beauty, here are a few that we loved!
Molly Luetkemeyer honors artist Sol Lewitt at 1st Leap
Barclay Butera used his showroom window to honor Robert Motherwell
Oliver Furth chose artist Piet Mondrian with his window at Bausman
