This time of year the Bay Area is packed with inspiring and exciting design events.  One of our favorites is almost here, the San Francisco Fall Art & Antiques Show. This is the 35th year of the Fall Antiques Show and we have the added honor to be part of the Designer’s Circle!  The Designer’s Circle is an exclusive group of prominent interior designers and architects who are dedicated supporters of the Fall Antiques Show.  We couldn’t be more proud to support this event over the years and the beautiful range of furniture, textiles, and art it brings together.

The Fall Art & Antiques Show is the oldest continuously operating international art and antiques show on the West Coast.  It features more than 60 antique dealers from across the US and Europe showcasing jewelry, photography, rugs, books, and objets d’art from a wide stretch of time periods.  The items are mostly antiques but in the past few years more modern works of art are popping up.  We’ll be stopping in to see a few of our favorite vendors this year including Almond & Company and epoca.

As if the promise of rare and captivating antiques wasn’t enough, the show also has a full program of lectures, panel discussions, and book signings.  On October 28th, Chara Schreyer and Gary Hutton will be giving a talk on “The Modern Eye: Cultivating a 21st-Century Private Collection” and, on October 30th, Janice Lyle will be signing copies of her book “Sunnylands: America’s Midcentury Masterpiece”.

This year’s show kicks off Wednesday, October 26th, with the Preview Gala and opens to the public on Thursday, October 27-30th at the Festival Pavilion at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.  The theme this year is Animalia: Animal Imagery in Art and Antiques!
