It’s that time of year again, the 2017 San Francisco Decorator Showcase is here!  This year marks the 40th year of the Showcase and what better way to celebrate than by transforming a Classical Revival mansion on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Scott Street (2698 Pacific Avenue). The designs this year were modern and elegant with lots of attention to detail and artistry.  We have designed for the Showcase in the past and we love supporting the inspiring work of other San Francisco interior designers!

Beth Martin of Martin Group designed the master bedroom.  The centerpiece in the room is a pair of peacock blue velvet curved sofas fit perfectly into the rounded nook of the bay window.  The fireplace with its patinated mirror surround reflect the modern lighting and art to create a thoughtfully layered and serene bedroom.

In the kitchen, Jon de la Cruz crafted a contemporary black and white aesthetic. The black and white flooring tile takes the classic checkered floor to a whole new level of sophistication. The grey washed tone of the island cabinetry mimics the stone/marble inspired wallpaper within the eating nook. The built-in banquette and warm wood trestle table create a cozy alcove for a beautiful and functional gathering space. Not only is it a stunning aspect of the Showcase but this kitchen was awarded “Kitchen of the Year” by House Beautiful!

Catherine Kwong designed the penthouse which provides a beautiful minimalist haven from the  buzz of urban life. The use of light woods, white walls, and subdued jewel tones and patterns in the upholstery and accessories soften the room. The space is quiet, fresh, and tranquil. We could imagine ourselves entertaining in this space or using it as our personal retreat.

See these inspired designs for yourself at the the San Francisco Decorator Showcase open from April 29th through May 29th. All the funds raised through the Decorator Showcase directly  support the San Francisco University High School Financial Aid Program. For tickets and more information:
