Style Spotlight: Mid Century Modern
Our team loves a good MCM room and pushing the boundaries of what that means. I’d like to show you how easy it is to achieve & share some of our favorite ways to make it happen.
Plays Well With Others
So another reason we love designing with Mid Century Modern pieces is that they lend themselves effortlessly to mix with other styles. If your space has a Farmhouse vibe (think shiplap and spindle chairs), a clean lined MCM pendant or table will pair beautifully. Transitional, Scandanavian or Modern compliment MCM very well. Clean lines, high end finishes and statement lighting are the MCM trademarks that will refresh- without a total redesign. Adding a few pieces will instantly transform your space.
Necessity drives style sometimes, and you need a surface for your iPad, remotes and drink. May as well make it pretty! Mid Century Modern side tables & bar carts are some of our favorites. If you find a vintage one, all the better, just double check the height next to your sofa or chair before ordering. Here are a few of our favorites-
A great room will always have exceptional lighting, no matter the style. As mentioned before, MCM lighting is dramatic, usually linear and almost always in a fantastic finish. Technology allows us to integrate LED technology with the right color temperature and lumens. Starbursts, orbs, constellation or geometric shapes all belong here.
Sweet Dreams & Eames
MCM pieces aren’t just for foyers or living rooms. We love adding the Eames Chair (the epitome of MCM) in the bedroom. The juxtaposition of the wood shell with the soft leather interior is an amazing combo, which is why it has been so popular for decades.

Adding a few Mid Century Design pieces to your home will give you a fresh look without having to redesign your entire space. We love energy efficient statement lighting, Eames in unexpected places and side tables that deliver style and surface.
