Timeless Tile
Tiles add visual interest and depth to a room. Whether it be in a kitchen, bathroom or outdoor living space, its durability makes it perfect for family homes. In Coddington Design’s San Francisco Style project, we selected New Ravenna’s Reve mosaic tile from the Aurora Collection for the Bar. Comprised of 24K Gold Glass, Agate and Quartz Jewel Glass the handmade ceramics add a glamorous touch to the white cabinetry.
Fireclay Tile is a great local resource in San Francisco. They fabricate every tile to order using recycled materials and sustainable manufacturing practices. We specified their classic Hexite tile in French Linen for a high-rise kitchen. They have a range of shapes that come in a rainbow of colors, but sometimes a simple white with contrasting grout makes the boldest impact.
Porcelanosa’s Ona tile replicates the look of carved stone. Fabricated in Spain, the practical glazed tile appears to be multi-hued and textured. Here, we use it in a guest bathroom shower wall. We plan to mix it with warm woods and dramatic lighting to accentuate the light and shadows on the tiles.
Lastly, we wanted to highlight one of our in-progress projects, located in Nantucket. We installed a mosaic Jasba-Loop tile in Steel Blue from floor to ceiling. The German made circular tile is subtly ornamental and reflects the mid-century modern casual style of the home. Enjoy this sneak peek!
