Are you following along with our Piedmont Project Reveal? If not, you’re missing out. Today, we’re continuing the tour and showcasing the completed primary bedroom and all the bathrooms. You may want to sit down for this.

The Piedmont Vibe

If you’re just joining the fun, here’s the recap… After Canyon Design Build completed the kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry room, we helped this Bay Area family of four furnish their spaces via our Online Design Service

First, we worked with them to discover their unique style, unearthing their love of timeless comfort and eclectic, eye-catching art deco patterns. Then, we put together mood boards and determined the color palette for each room.

Best choice for their personal style combo? Soothing blues with pops of beige and warm, earthy orange. Blue acts as a neutral color and brings a serene, classic feeling to their home, while pops of orange add energy and interest.

From the bedrooms, main living areas, bathrooms, and office, we guided this family to furnishing their recently remodeled house into an inviting and functional, family-friendly home. Ready to take a look for yourself?

Peaceful Primary Bedroom with a Grand Fireplace

Craving a warm blanket and a good book just looking at this space? Me, too. This primary bedroom embodies a classic San Francisco aesthetic with elegant millwork details and a crisp white stone fireplace. We decided to complement the scene with lush bedding, tasteful decor, and these custom ivory drapes that frame the French doors and lead to the patio area. Perfect for enjoying early morning sun with coffee in hand.

Inspired by shades of French blue and slate, the primary bedroom is a calming escape from city life. Natural wood and gold accents warm things up while the organic pattern in this area rug adds interest.

Clean and Classic Primary Bathroom

Step out of the moody bedroom and you’re immersed in this light, bright, and soothing primary bathroom…

Palette of blue and slate? Yep. Same look as the bedroom? Nope. Although Canyon Design Build created this space, it perfectly reflects the color palette we repeated in the bedroom — but in this case, it feels like fresh, open retreat. Soft blues, pure whites, and brass finishes combine with the understated geometric floor (did you notice it?) and extra-long subway tiles for an eye-catching finish.

The walk-in shower features double showerheads with separate temperature controls (small luxuries) and a practical built-in inset. We used the warm brass tones as a jumping off point for other warm neutrals in the furnishings, like…

Stand-Out Jewel Box Powder Room

Step out of the bedroom and into the hallway, and you’ll find this jewel box of a powder room…

Fun wallpapers were a must-have for this family, and the powder room was the perfect place to make a bold design choice. Striking wallpaper envelopes their guests with an eclectic pattern and uses the same colors used throughout the rest of the home. (See the earthy gold color that mimics the brass in the bathroom?) It’s like a little design treat waiting to be discovered.

Sophisticated Overnight Guest Bath

The overnight guest bath (located on the lower level) is sophisticated and crisp. Black finishes match the hexagon floor tiles and contrast with the stark white walls. It’s a bit lighter and bright than the other bathrooms, which helps keep it feeling spacious with minimal light exposure.

There’s more where that came from…

This harmonious home reveal isn’t over. We have just a few more spaces to share. While you wait, which room caught your eye? Or are you imagining a totally different fusion of design styles that speak to your taste?  Take our style quiz to discover your personal design aesthetic. It may just surprise you…

Cheers,

Melanie
